Lawers Estate is located 2 miles east of the Village of Comrie which provides day to day shopping, primary schooling and banking facilities. Crieff only 7 miles to the east, provides a wider range of amenities including business and secondary schooling facilities as well as various opportunities for social activities. The locality is also well served with a wide range of independent retail shops.

The country town of Perth is only 25 miles to the east, although Stirling 17 miles south along the A9 may be more convenient and has an extensive range of shopping and leisure facilities. Both towns have railway stations connecting top both east and west coast lines.
